the Kurdistan Region and the UK.

Mr Tahir stressed the importance of joint security to prevent Daesh
from re-emerging. He said: “Daesh is still posing threats to the

international coalition’s support, especially from Britain, in order
to eliminate any threats posed by Daesh”

The KRG High Representative also thanked the UK for its continuous
support to the Kurdistan Region and its role in modernising the
Peshmerga forces.

Lieutenant General John Lorimer said that the UK would continue to
assist the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in developing a modern Peshmerga.
He said that Daesh cells in Iraq are trying to re-activate themselves
and threaten the peace and security of Iraq and the region, and that
