KRG High Representative to the UK Visits the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Iraq

London, United Kingdom – www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) High Representative to the United Kingdom, paid an official visit to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Iraq in London, where he was received by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Saleh Al-Tamimi, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, the KRG High Representative warmly congratulated Ambassador Dr. Al-Tamimi on his appointment as the new Iraqi Ambassador. The two sides exchanged views on regional developments, with particular focus on the situation in Syria and recent attacks targeting the Kurdish community.

They also discussed ways to further expand bilateral relations with the United Kingdom across various fields. The meeting underscored the strong relationship between the Iraqi Embassy and the KRG Representation in the UK, and emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation to better serve the Iraqi and the Kurdish communities.
