Announcement for Kurdish employees abroad

The Kurdistan Regional Government Council of Ministers has announced new measures for the Kurdish employees who are currently abroad and are unable to return to their workplaces in the Kurdistan Region due to the (COVID-19) travel restrictions.  

In accordance with the Department of Foreign Relation’s guidance letter (Ref: 2695) issued on 01 March 2021 states that: “The Kurdish employees who are currently abroad will be granted 90 days from 01 March 2021 to facilitate their return to the Kurdistan Region in order to resume their work. The period of time passed on their current leave would be considered as unpaid leave”

However, if the employees do not comply with the specified period then legal actions will be considered accordingly.
