KRG UK High Representative recieves a delegation from DFID

KRG High Representative to the UK Karwan Jamal Tahir received a delegation from the UK government's Department for Foreign and International Development (DFID) included David Hunt Head of the Iraq and Yemen Department, Kaylee Hall Deputy Head of the Department, and Owen Tucker Head of the Kurdistan Region Desk.

Discussions included bilateral ties, cooperation expansion, the Kurdistan Region’s status, the new KRG cabinet formation, Erbil-Baghdad relations, and the latest political and security updates.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing the importance of boosting economic cooperation and increase coordination to encourage and attract more companies to invest in the Kurdistan Region.


The KRG High Representative thanked DFID and the Iraqi team for their sustained support to the KRG UK Representation’s activities, and both parties highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation.

The important relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UK was stressed by the delegation's head David Hunt, who also confirmed their continued commitment towards the Region.
