Head of KRG's DFR visits the embassy of the Federal Republic of Iraq in the UK

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd. During his official visit to the United Kingdom, Minister Safeen Muhsin Dizayee, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Department of Foreign Relations, and Karwan Jamal Tahir, the KRG’s High Representative in London, visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Iraq, and were received by Iraq’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Dr. Salih Hussein Ali Al-Tamimi.

During the meeting, Minister Dizayee congratulated Ambassador Al-Tamimi on resuming his diplomatic duties, while highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional Government representation and the embassy of the Federal Iraq in the UK.

Ambassador Al-Tamimi welcomed the visit and expressed his willingness to work closely with KRG representation in London to strengthen ties between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the United Kingdom.

 

Discussions also covered the current political situation in Iraq, including ongoing efforts to form a new federal government.
