KRG Representation in the UK Attends the Catalan Gastronomic Reception in London

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd – Hawre Yousef, Director of Trade and Investment Relations at the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Representation in the United Kingdom, attended the Catalan Gastronomic Reception held at the Shangri-La, The Shard.

The event, hosted by the Government of Catalonia and the Catalan Tourist Board in the United Kingdom and Ireland, celebrated Catalonia’s cultural and culinary excellence. It brought together senior government representatives, business leaders, and members of the diplomatic community to promote cultural diplomacy, tourism, and investment opportunities.

During the reception, opening remarks were delivered by Jaume Baró, Secretary for Business and Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia. Guests also enjoyed a culinary presentation and dinner prepared by renowned Michelin-starred Chef Paco Pérez, showcasing the richness of Catalan gastronomy.

Representing the KRG UK, the Director of Trade and Investment Relations conveyed greetings on behalf of the KRG High Representative to the UK and expressed appreciation for Catalonia’s efforts in promoting regional culture and international engagement. He also highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s growing potential in tourism, cultural exchange, and trade cooperation.

The KRG Representation in the UK continues to actively engage with regional governments, institutions, and business networks to advance cultural understanding and expand trade and investment partnerships with the Kurdistan Region.
