KRG High Representative Meets with Former British Diplomat

London, UK. www.uk.gov.krd – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) High Representative to the United Kingdom, Karwan Jamal Tahir, met with his long-time friend and former British diplomat, Mr. Chris Bowers.

Mr Bowers, who served as HMG Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, has long been inspired by the history of the Kurdish people and their enduring struggle. His experiences have led him to write a new stage play titled “Safe Haven”, which recounts the story of the humanitarian mission that protected the Kurds from further genocide in 1991.

During the meeting, Mr. Tahir praised Mr. Bowers for his lasting friendship with the Kurdish people and for his creative contribution through the stage play, commending his continued effort to share the Kurdish story with international audiences.

Operation Safe Haven will debut at the Arcola Theatre from January, offering audiences a powerful depiction of historic events.
