High Representative welcomes Ms Bayan Sami Abdulrahman

The Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the United Kingdom, Karwan Jamal Tahir, Welcomed Bayan Sami Abdulrahman, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government for International Affairs and Environment, and her accompanying delegation.

The discussions focused on the delegation’s activities and ongoing initiatives, as well as ways to deepen bilateral relations between the KRG Representation and the British government. Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with relevant UK institutions and advancing programs designed to foster closer ties.

Ms. Abdulrahman commended the Representative and the KRG UK team for their consistent efforts to expand communication channels, convey the Kurdistan Region’s perspectives, and mobilise support for its political and humanitarian priorities. She underscored that these efforts play a key role in shaping the United Kingdom’s foreign policy toward Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

She further emphasised the significance of the Representation’s work in safeguarding the Kurdistan Region’s interests and contributing to efforts to resolve outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad.
