KRG High Representative Welcomes the family of the talented student Anu Amanj Omar

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd.  Karwan Jamal Tahir, the High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the United Kingdom, warmly welcomed Anu Amanj Omar, a student from “Leaders School” in Sulaymaniyah, along with her family, during their visit to the UK for the prestigious International iWise Competition hosted at the University of Surrey.

High Representative Tahir expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Anu’s family and commended her exceptional achievement. He described her participation as a source of pride for the Kurdistan Region, recognising her as a symbol of the region’s growing academic and creative potential on the international stage.

Anu Amanj Omar earned a silver medal and placed second in the “Talent” category, showcasing an environmental project focused on building a sustainable future and addressing the challenges of climate change. The project was celebrated for its innovation, relevance, and potential impact.

The High Representative emphasised the importance of encouraging young talents like Anu, whose creativity and commitment to global issues reflect the bright future of the Kurdistan Region. He reaffirmed the KRG’s support for education, innovation, and youth participation in international forums.
