KRG High Representative Karwan Jamal Tahir Receives Mayor of Lincolnshire

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd. KRG High Representative Karwan Jamal Tahir welcomed Ms. Andrea Jenkins, Mayoyr of Lincolnshire, along with her deputy at the KRG UK office in London.

The discussions centered on the enduring friendship between the United Kingdom and the Kurdistan Region, with a particular emphasis on enhancing economic and trade relations. Both sides highlighted the important role that local governments can play in fostering international cooperation and driving mutual economic growth.

Mayor Jenkins, a strong friend of the Kurdistan Region and a former Member of Parliament and government minister, reiterated her commitment to building productive bilateral economic and trade links, and emphasised ongoing efforts to deepen economic engagement and encouraged active collaboration between UK regions and the Kurdistan Region.

In line with these objectives, the meeting also addressed preparations for Lincolnshire’s upcoming major trade exhibition (Great Exhibition), and a formal invitation was extended to the KRG High Representative to participate in the exhibition.
