annual Chatham House Conference (Iraq Initiative).
The conference is an annual event with the participation of

Kurdistan Region which aims to evaluate the current state of
affairs in Iraq, examine political developments and various viewpoints on the
political landscape and threats, and analyse the difficulties Iraq faces and
how they affect the nation's circumstances in all areas.
The conference featured a variety of panels, such as those discussing the
political system's structure in Iraq following the fall of the previous regime
20 years ago, regional tensions and how they affect Iraq, the country's
economic status and its future in the unstable Middle East, the current
political climate and the outcome of the upcoming general election. While
concentrating on the investment climate and the financial status of the banking
infrastructure in Iraq. They also evaluated the shifting environment,
adaptability, and coping mechanisms.
Falah Mustafa spoke on one of the
panels about the political climate in Iraq and the region's contribution to the
political process' success. The Iraqi High Elections Commission (IHEC) freely
and transparently oversaw the voting process, which he said demonstrated the
success of the recent Kurdistan parliamentary elections and the high voter
turnout. He said that these results demonstrate the Kurdistan people's
confidence in the democratic process.
He emphasised that following the announcement of the final results by
IHEC, the Kurdistan political leadership will formally begin negotiations on
the formation of a new KRG cabinet, while also laying the groundwork for the
upcoming general elections in Iraq, which are anticipated to take place in
October of next year.
