A delegation from Kurdistan Union of Chambers of Commerce visits KRG UK Office.

United Kingdom, London, www.uk.gov.krd. High representative Karwan Jamal Taher welcomed a delegation from the Union of Kurdistan Chambers of Commerce led by Dr Mohammad Shahab the supervisor of the Union and representatives of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Duhok Chambers of Commerce.

During the meeting both sides discussed the participation of the delegation at the annual World Tourism Market Exhibition held at the Excel Center and stressed the importance of such participation in order to develop the tourism sector in the region which is one of the priorities of the Kurdistan Regional Government. Meanwhile establishing partnerships and understanding with international companies and agencies in the field of tourism to promote investment opportunities in this field in the Kurdistan Region, and attract tourists to the region.

The delegation emphasised the value of the office’s collaboration in order to take advantage of business events and activities in the United Kingdom in all fields and thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government UK representation (KRG UK) for its assistance, as well as the office's ongoing encouragement to the Kurdistan Region parties to take part in these events and to give the Kurdistan delegations all the facilities they need to have a successful visit.

Karwan Jamal Tahir, the KRG's high representative to the UK, thanked the delegation for attending this significant event. He emphasised that Kurdistan delegations attending international events is a good way to meet with businesses and investors and gain access to international expertise. Additionally, he reaffirmed the office's willingness to work closely to promote Kurdistan’s different fields and sectors.
