High Representative meets with the Head of the Delegation of the Catalan Government

United Kingdom, London, www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir, KRG UK High Representative, visited the Representative Office of the Government of Catalonia and was warmly welcomed by Francesc Claret, The Head of the Delegation of the Catalan Government to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

At the meeting, the Head of the Delegation of the Catalan Government briefed the KRG High Representative on their activities in the economic, trade, cultural, and educational sectors, as well as how they organise and bolster relations with the Catalan Diaspora.

During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Catalonia, and exchanged views on the development of economic relations and cultural activities and finding a mechanism to benefit from each other's experience.

They also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and threats to security and stability in the region. The KRG High Representative emphasised the role of the KRG in maintaining security in the region and the continued effort to prevent the escalation of tensions in the region.
