The Head of the Department of Foreign Relations meets with Shadow Cabinet Minister for MENA

Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Kurdistan Regional
Government (KRG), accompanied by Karwan Jamal Tahir, the Kurdistan Regional
Government's High Representative to the UK, visited the British Parliament and
was received by Wayne David, Shadow Cabinet Minister for Middle East and North
Africa.
At the
meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the UK and the Kurdistan
Region and focused on the level and aspects of cooperation and further
development.
They also
discussed the latest developments in the region and its impact on the Federal
Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, while highlighting the relations
between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government and
stressed the importance of resolving the ongoing obstacles and problems through
the framework of the constitution of Iraq.
H.E. Dizayee thanked the UK in general and the Labour Party for their continued support to
the Kurdistan Region and he stressed the importance of continued UK cooperation
for a strong Kurdistan Region for the sake of peace and security in Iraq and
the region.
Wayne David reaffirmed that his party would
continue to support the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people and continued
coordination between the two sides to strengthen bilateral relations and expand
the areas of coordination.
