KRG High Representative participates in IBBC Annual Residential Retreat Reception.

United Kingdom, London, www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the UK attended the Iraqi British Business Council (IBBC) Annual Residential Retreat Reception at Cumberland Lodge. At the event which was attended by the representatives of the Iraqi Federal Embassy and Manar Abbas the Ambassador of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and several Iraqi and British MPs, Iraqi and British businessmen, as well as UK officials and diplomats, the current situation in Iraq, a number of issues and challenges and the trade and economic relations between United Kingdom and Iraq were discussed.

Manar Dabas the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan highlighted the importance of the relations between the two countries and stated that the Middle East will become the centre of attraction and will connect the West and Asia together, and it will also become the hub for economic and trade connections.

At the same event the deputy ambassador of the Federal Republic of Iraq thanked the IBBC for organising this event.

Karwan Jamal Tahir Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the UK thanked the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Emma Nicholson president of IBBC and shed light on the recent developments in Kurdistan Region and the economic growth and stability in the Region. He also talked about the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the issues between the two sides. He stressed the investment opportunities in the Kurdistan Region and referred to the Regional Government's privileges that are offered to the foreign investors.
