KRG High Representative to the UK welcomes a new round of Chevening Scholars from the Kurdistan Region

London, United Kingdom (uk.gov.krd), The Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the United Kingdom, Karwan Jamal Tahir welcomed a group of female students from the Kurdistan Region who have been awarded the UK government Chevening Scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK.

Mr Tahir congratulated the outstanding scholars for receiving a world-class educational opportunity across a wide range of fields at the top universities in the UK. He said: “This reflects the Kurdistan Region’s growing appetite for the UK academic excellence” and regarded this programme as “an example of how education remains one of the most enduring aspects of the Kurdistan Region-UK partnership.”

Mr Tahir was impressed by incredible potentials of all female participants in a highly competitive scheme and wished them the very best of an exciting academic journey in the UK.

The Chevening scholars expressed their appreciation to the KRG UK Representation for hosting them and their willingness to develop professional and intellectual goals along with bilateral engagement.
