KRG High Representative attends Global Islamic Impact Investment Forum (GIIIF)

London, United Kingdom (uk.gov.krd). The Kurdistan Regional
Government High Representative, Karwan Jamal Tahir, attended the World Islamic Impact Investment
Forum in London.
The forum brought together a significant number of diplomats,
regulators, economists, development finance institutions, and policymakers.
High Representative participated in a panel on Sustainable
Economic Diversification in Oil-based economies. Mr Tahir highlighted the
multiple challenges facing the Kurdistan Region since 2015 and its effects; he
added, "my government's bold steps turned every single challenge into an
opportunity to divers the economy, conduct comprehensive reform to maintain
sustainable economy".
High Representative also shed light on the government's priority
for investment, developing the agricultural sector through technology and other
reforms to make it more enticing for foreign investment, he added. Mr Tahir also highlights the importance of robust public and private sector
development to drive government.
