KRG High Representative Receives Lord Leicester

London, United Kingdom – KRG UK Representation – www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) High Representative to the United Kingdom, welcomed Lord Udny-Lister PC Kt to the KRG office in London.

The meeting focused on recent political, security, and economic developments in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the wider region, which are areas of mutual interest between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom. Both sides underlined the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Lord Lister expressed his continued support for the Kurdistan Region, describing himself as a close friend of the Kurdish people. He reaffirmed his commitment to assisting the Kurdistan Region and furthering cooperation.

High Representative Karwan Jamal Tahir conveyed his gratitude for Lord Lister’s visit, noting that shared interests and values have deepened ties between the two sides. He emphasised the KRG’s determination to build on this partnership and expand relations with the United Kingdom.

Lord Lister, in turn, thanked the High Representative for the warm welcome and reiterated the importance of maintaining strong and enduring ties with the Kurdistan Region.
