KRG High Representative receives a delegation from Ishik and Nelufer Private Schools

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir, High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the United Kingdom, welcomed a delegation of students and teachers from Ishik and Nelufer private schools during their educational visit to London. The group, comprising 85 students from primary, secondary, and high school levels, was accompanied by Mr. Sherwan Sharafani, Deputy Director General of the Ishik private University.

The visit is part of a 10-day scientific and cultural program organised under a memorandum of understanding between Ishik University and Kingston University. The students are participating in a range of academic and extracurricular activities designed to provide insights into the UK’s education system. The visit also includes opportunities for students to interact with Kingston university students and students from other countries who are on the similar visits to further enriching their learning experience and build bridges with students of other countries. Meanwhile, to increase their global awareness.  

During the meeting, High Representative Karwan Jamal Tahir emphasised the importance of such educational exchanges in fostering global understanding , as well as firsthand experience with one of the world’s most respected educational systems and the student life in the UK.

Mr. Tahir highlighted the KRG Representation’s ongoing efforts to build and strengthen educational partnerships between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom. He reiterated the KRG UK’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote academic cooperation and student engagement abroad.
