KRG High Representative welcomes Kurdish Chevening Scholarship Program students

United Kingdom. Karwan Jamal Tahir Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative
to the United Kingdom welcomed a number of Chevening Scholarship Programme students
from the Kurdistan Region.
The High Representative said he is pleased that a good
number of citizens of the Kurdistan Region have been accepted in the Chevening
Program and congratulated them for being able to succeed in the process to
pursue higher education in a number of important fields.
At the same time, he stressed the
importance of the program globally, saying
that it presents an important opportunity for the future of their career
and increase their leadership skills, and also serves the country more. During
the meeting, he expressed his admiration
for the scientific abilities of the current generation in Kurdistan in which 10 out of 17 of Iraqi allocated seats were taken by them.
The Chevening students thanked the warm welcome and the support
of the KRG Representation and the High Representative and stressed that their
goal is to develop their capabilities to best serve their people and their
country after the completion of their study.
