KRG High Representative to the UK met with Special Advisor to the International Trade Secretary

London, United Kingdom (uk.gov.krd), KRG High Representative to the UK, Karwan Tahir, met with Daniel El-Gamry, Special Advisor to the International Trade Secretary, Kemi Badenoch, at the Department for International Trade to discuss trade and relations between Kurdistan Region and the UK

Mr Tahir was keen to stress a number of potential barriers to future trade between Kurdistan Region and the UK and ways that the UK Department of International Trade could help smooth the process. It was a productive meeting in which much was discussed, ranging from exports of agricultural goods such as pomegranates, to Kurdistan’s growing tourism sector and ways to increase foreign investment to the Kurdistan Region

Both Mr El-Gamry and Mr Tahir thanked each other on behalf of their respective governments for their ongoing friendship, and were keen to see the relationship continue from strength to strength
