KRG High Representative attends an event honouring Kurdish writer Sarbast Kirkuki

London, United Kingdom, www.uk.gov.krd. KRG High Representative to the United Kingdom, Karwan Jamal Tahir, attended a ceremony in London honouring Kurdish writer and prominent community figure Sarbast Kirkuki.

The event, organised by the KYA Organisation and attended by members of the Kurdish diaspora, celebrated Mr. Sarbast’s contributions to Kurdish literature, culture and community life in the UK.

In his remarks, Mr. Tahir expressed his pleasure to attend the event and paid tribute to Mr. Sarbast, describing him as a prominent figure whose life and work reflect the values of courage, cultural commitment and resilience. He highlighted his lifelong contribution to education, literature, political and cultural awareness, and his service to the Kurdish community in the UK.

Mr. Tahir also thanked the KYA Organisation, Ata Mufti and the organising team for hosting the event and for their efforts to promote Kurdish culture and recognise individuals who have dedicated their talents and abilities to serving their community.

The organisers expressed their appreciation to the KRG High Representative for his continued support and presence at cultural and social activities of the Kurdish diaspora in the UK.
