Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani meet KRG High Representative to the UK

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, www.uk.gov.krd. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received karwan Jamal Taher Kurdistan Regional Government’s High Representative to the United Kingdom and discussed relations between the Kurdistan Region and Britain, as well as the ongoing political process to form the KRG’s 10th Cabinet.

During the meeting, the two sides described the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UK as historic and important, highlighting Britain’s role in the Kurdistan Region and the wider region. They stressed the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting also focused on the steps being taken to form the KRG’s 10th Cabinet. The KRG High Representative briefed President Nechirvan Barzani on the British government’s position regarding the political process, noting that the UK continues to closely follow developments related to the formation of the new cabinet.
