KRG High Representative Attends Chatham House Reception in London

Karwan Jamal Tahir, High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in the United Kingdom accompanied by a delegation from the office, attended a reception hosted by Chatham House. The event brought together corporate members of the organisation consists of companies and commercial institutions.

Sir Simon Fraser, Chair of Chatham House, expressed his appreciation to the participating companies and economic stakeholders, highlighting the organisation’s efforts over the past year to convene a wide range of meetings, roundtables and discussions addressing major international developments and global challenges.

Fraser noted that Chatham House had successfully brought together policymakers, business leaders and experts from around the world to exchange views on pressing political and economic issues. He also underlined the importance of collaboration with the private sector, emphasising that members of the organisation benefit from the exchange of expertise, best practices and strategic insights from leading business and economic figures.

He added that the continued support and membership of companies and institutions enables Chatham House to organise influential events and initiatives that contribute to informed global dialogue. Fraser further reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to engaging with members’ ideas and proposals in shaping the future direction of its activities and programmes.

The event was attended by a large number of international companies, commercial organisations and economic institutions that are corporate members of Chatham House. Representatives from governments and diplomatic missions also took part in discussions focusing on the current situation in the Middle East and its impact on the global economy.

Participants additionally explored the challenges and opportunities associated with doing business in the Kurdistan Region, while the KRG representation reiterated their readiness to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
